I bought this coat around 9 years ago for our Bedlington Bitch.
The Bedlington's natural coat doesn't lend itself to wet conditions but they also need to be able to move freely, not have a coat that 'snags' on heather, bushes, etc and will also keep them comfortably warm - but not overheated.

I had tried several different brands and types but this is the one that fit Cleo perfectly. I was prompted to write this review today after taking her and our new puppy out on the hills, in the snow and thinking I must try and get one for Roxy (when I know what size she will finally be).
II was delighted to see they are still available - it might be that the material has changed slightly over the years - I don't know - but the images suggest the coat is fundamentally the same and I will definitely be ordering one for Roxy - and also for the new pup we are getting in a few weeks, again when is grown enough to know what size.
This coat is not cheap and I can't justify buying one until I know the 'finished size' of the dog - but from my experience, the quality, manufacture, suitability for purpose, and being functional and not fussy are all spot on.
My only 'want' would be a brighter colour (red?) as the green on a grey dog renders her pretty much invisible on the hills when she goes off following the scent of a sparrow or something!! Thoroughly recommend!

We have tried a few coats over the years for our german shepherd - he is always getting into scrapes and that usually meant a coat in tatters.
We have had this one for a month now - that might not sound long but trust me for Max it is a VERY long time for a coat to survive the treatment he gives it.
Well made, warm, fits well - what more can I say?

this is a good coat and keeps the dog warm and dry in awful winter weather. I didn't like the belt - have a bit of arthritis and found the buckle a bit hard to do (especially when the dog was leaping up and down excited to get out).

I rang up and was pleased to find out that I could get velcro added to the belt - now really easy to get on and off. thank you for your great customer service.

With 6 working Labradors & a cocker spaniel I can not afford to be without these coats. Drying six big wet dogs is a chore. The coats are very easy and quick to put on and take off, they fit well and look good too.

Having owned one of these for my last working spaniel, I bought a cheaper coat elsewhere for my next dog. Big mistake - it couldn't cope with the rigours of our country location and within a month it was ripped. I have now bought a new Challenger fleece coat - there is simply nothing to touch it for durability and I know it will last for years - my last one did!
