Excellent BuyI bought this wetsuit for my whippet Pixie, who adores to swim, but gets very cold very quickly even in the sun. (becomes slightly hypothermic very quickly and also has blood sugar issues, both problems solved by this wetsuit - although she still needed to eat a lot after swimming!!)
It works like a treat, she can also run, jump, roll and spin in this wetsuit without the wetsuit either rubbing or moving.

Don't buy any other coat!First I need to say that our GS cross HATES water - rivers, sea, baths - any water at all so it seems odd that we bought a wetsuit.
But a friend had one for her cockerpoo and they are brilliant instead of a flapping dog coat.
It keeps him lovely and warm and as another reviewer says, it gives a little protection from bambles and barbed wire because he runs near farmers fields and often gets into scrapes.
The bonus is that unlike a lot of coats it keeps most of his chest and tummy clean and dry. he is longhaired and it used to be such a job cleaning off his tummy after a muddy walk
(Make sure you measure carefully - I bought one that was too long and had to swap!)Posted on

IdealMy dog doesnt like water so it might seem odd to buy a wetsuit but he is a very longhaired dog it takes me ages to clean him after wet and muddy walks. Some dogs skirt mud puddles but mine jumps straight in :).
The wetsuit is great because it keeps his chest and tummy clean and dry and cuts down on cleaning time and the mudsplashes up my white walls.
Bonus is that if it rains while we are out it keeps him dry too.

really goodour dog is never out the water . we had bought a different make but it was more for a labrador shape and no good but this is snug fit.

Just what I was looking for!I have a small cockerpoo who just adores water of any kind - from ponds, streams and puddles to the open sea, and yet feels the cold terribly.
A waterproof coat would be no good as I wouldn't want to stop her fun and keep her out of the water. This wonderfully smart, beautifully made, superb-fitting wetsuit is the answer to all our problems.
It gives her complete freedom of movement yet stays in position and keeps her warm - with the added benefit of some additional buoyancy!
Countrymun have been so helpful and whilst initially appalled at the idea of a camouflage suit, was soon persuaded otherwise when I was sent a picture
sample of the soft neoprene camo, as it was rustic in design with autumn colours, leaves and twigs. It will be great fir wet/cold winter walks.

well worth itwe already had a coat from you for our dog but when we go for long beach walks she likes to be in the sea - even in december. this is great- she can still move and enjoy the water but stays much warmer and less sand in her coat as well

Excellent product!Although I've rated the price as 4*, I think maybe that is my northern roots telling me to do so, as I feel £50 is a lot to pay for a little dog coat. HOWEVER... The quality of the product is amazing, it covers my wimp of a bedlington cross very well, and really does fit her like a wetsuit should fit a human. Overall, I'm exceedingly pleased with the product and I highly recommend it! Many thanks to Countrymun!

Excellent bit of kitI purchaced the wetsuit coat for my springer last year and never looked back, at first I thought it was a little expensive for what it is as I dont work her, I just take her out for long walks but the coat is well worth the money. the coat has kept her warm in the coldest of winters plus added protection from thorn bushes and barbed wire. at fist we thought it was a little strange and maybe over the top to dress her up in camo but who cares, this is most definatly the best coat for active dogs. that good I'm going to purchase the smallest size for our sausage dog and addapt it to fit. this is an excellent bit of kit

excellent product for gun dogswe have a working cocker, and when training and working on cold windy days, she starts to shiver, this is excellent, keeps her warm as a wetsuit does, and partially dry, also prevents burrs and thorns getting into her chest. Full movement is allowed and fits brilliantly, it also helps her in the water by giving her a bit of extra boyancy. We spent ages looking for something like this and now can spread the word.
